24 months Fixed Term. Based in Hertford with the option for home working up to 50% of working hours. Closing date is 4 December 2022 at midnight.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed Transformation Team as a Project Manager. This brand new role will help deliver our challenging transformation work programme ensuring East Herts becomes an agile, commercial and digital organisation which delivers a modern user experience for its residents.

This new team is looking is looking for an individual committed to excellence in their work and with a passion for driving major business improvement alongside a track record of realising demonstrable savings or improvements in service delivery. If successful you will be implementing improvement projects across all aspects of the transformation programme, spanning multiple service areas, such as Planning, Leisure, Waste, Revenues & Benefits, Housing, Environmental Health and Customer Services.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

- Delivering organisational wide change projects of significance including on-boarding of new technologies, new processes and new ways of working
- Undertake resource planning and forecasting to ensure that projects can be delivered to time, within budget and that benefits are realised
- To interpret and communicate complex information to a variety of audiences including senior managers and Members

About you

This role will suit a detailed, focused, enthusiastic team player who enjoys working in a multi-disciplined environment driving major business change. With well developed communication and influencing skills, you’ll possess the ability to build effective working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders internally and externally.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Educated to degree level, preferably with a project management qualification or significant experience in project management
- Good experience of the construction, development and use of automated systems in the digital delivery of services to customers
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work without supervision, prioritise work to meet deadlines, and a concern for order and accuracy
