Workwear Express is a fast-growing online digital retailer based in the northeast. It has recently been acquired by FTSE 100 international distributor Bunzl plc, and this role will be key in delivering sustainable change to accounting processes, month-end financial reporting procedures and the internal control environment.

Key Responsibilities
Working with the Finance Director and Senior Finance Manager to develop and realise a change programme for the Finance Department.

Topics covered will include, amongst others:
· Accounts Payable automation focused on high volume invoice processing and supplier statement reconciliation
· Credit Control automation focused on the implementation of programmes such as Side Trade
· Weekly reporting focused on price inflation and trading margin
· Supporting the implementation of a commercial finance reporting platform (e.g. PowerBI) to help the business better understand key trends in revenue and margin
· Identify key profitability drivers and working with the Finance Director develop an operational model of the business
· Solving business specific problems with a focus on financial value
· Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, keeping the Finance Director appraised of key assumptions and scenarios

Experience and Qualifications

ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant - final level part-qualified will be considered
