Salary starting: Impact Band 3 / NJC Point 13 / £24,948 per annum (pro rata)

Incentives: paid travel expenses, pension, and a generous 81 hours per year holiday allowance, in addition to all bank holidays and 3 additional days at Christmas.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Impact Advocacy Service’s friendly team. The supporter will work alongside self-advocates to support them to run their group for people with autism in West Sussex and improve access to their local communities. The role will also involve co-ordinating user lead research with a small team of self-advocates.

The role includes supporting the groups to:

- run their meetings
- encourage new members
- support members to have a voice
- work with a small group of Quality Checkers to co-ordinate user-led research

Requirements for this role:

- An interest in working with people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and a willingness to learn about this condition
- Good communication skills
- An ability to work effectively within group settings
- An ability to attend daytime and evening meetings on a recurring monthly basis
- An ability to travel independently around West Sussex
