We are currently seeking a Communications and Campaigns Manager to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.

You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, create meaningful content, and lead on our flagship Festival of Learning campaign, all while further developing your skills and enhancing your portfolio of experience.

This is a key role within our organisation where you will bridge the gap between us and our audiences through your incredible comms work and an array of event and campaign activity. You will also have management responsibility of our new role of the Communications and Public Affairs Coordinator, which has a focus on parliamentary activity too.

The Role

As a Communications and Campaigns Manager, you will support the impact of our work through the delivery of communications, events and campaigns

You’ll be involved in all aspects of our communications management, from our flagship Festival of Learning campaign through to social media and our website. As part of our Festival of Learning, you will organise our national award process and ceremony, Lifelong Learning Week and regional adult learning awards.

In addition to press and media work, relationship building and a range of other events, you’ll make sure our website is filled with engaging, relevant content and our social media is connecting us to our audience.

Additionally, you’ll play a key role in the development of communication and influencing strategies as well as supporting fundraising and event sponsorship activities.

About You

To be considered as a Communications and Campaigns Manager, you will need:

- Experience in a communications role
- Experience of designing and managing events
- Experience of prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines
- Knowledge of how to secure press and media coverage
- Knowledge of social media and social media analytics
- The ability to use CRM, email marketing and website editing software
- Strong project management skills
- Basic design skills and familiarity with design software, such as Canva
- Good copywriting skills
- Some public affairs experience would be desirable
