BookTrust is the UK's largest children's reading charity. Working with every local authority and across every region in England, Northern Ireland and Wales, and supported by Arts Council funding, we reach over 3 million families a year through schools, health visitors, libraries and other partners. This incredible network helps us to get children excited about reading from an early age. We know that children who read are happier, healthier, more creative and do better at school.

The Senior Research and Impact Officer (SRIO) role brings scope for dynamic collaboration across the organisation, for creativity and to apply research and data expertise to a range of opportunities. SRIOs shape, drive and deliver ambitious and challenging workstreams in support of our strategy. They will be a voice for evidence-based decision making within BookTrust, ensuring that we put the needs of children, families, and our partners (who include early years practitioners and teachers) at the heart of our work.

Our team comprises researchers from a range of backgrounds with expertise across research approaches. In this new role we are looking for an experienced mixed methods researcher with excellent quantitative and data analysis and visualisation skills.

We will provide excellent opportunities for the postholder to further develop their research, project management and partnership skills in support of a fast changing, purpose-driven national charity. We offer a flexible and supportive working environment and provide on-the-job learning and formal training.
