Job Description
To be trained to operate FPI carousel & handline & MPI processes, inspection of all parts that are processed through theses FPI & MPI facility.
This position is based at our Newton Abbot, UK facility and will report to the Cell Shift Leader/Shift Manager.

Key Responsibilities
• Assume NDT Technical responsibility for utilised test equipment
• Receive components requiring inspection. Process components in accordance with the NDT data card - cleaning, degreasing, inspect using appropriate method.
• Fluorescent penetrant inspection: Process parts in accordance with data card. Visually inspect to quality standard.
• Magnetic particle inspection: Process parts in accordance with data card. Visually inspect to quality standard.
• Provide training in the method for which he/she is approved/certified
• To ensure equipment is maintained in operational condition - clean, calibrated and operating efficiently.
• Carry out other duties compatible with this job and the individual skills of the jobholder(s), as required by management.

Job Requirements
• Meeting daily production targets whilst maintaining quality standards
• Ability to work 4 on 4 off shift days and nights.

Qualifications
• Maintain External recognised qualification in NDT complying with Level 2 requirement.(eg EN4179, or NAS 410) in both Magnetic Partical and Flourescent Penetrant inspection procedures (desirable).
• CPU stamp holder (desirable).
• 6 months practical experience of relevant NDT (desirable)
o 400 Hours FPI Minimum
o 530 Hours MPI Minimum TP Area
• Good eyesight (aided) and full colour vision essential - requirement for annual test.
• Regular (within 5 years) requirement to recertify by examination. Competence reassessed yearly.
