Senior Lead Volunteer

Volunteer to help Sue Ryder to be there when it matters.

About us
Our Stapleford shop is looking for volunteers to join the team. We have a wonderful bric-a-brac and home section which is bursting with beautiful bargains to suit any budget. We also cater for children for with a huge toy corner and extended children’s clothing range. Our brand new goods competitively priced with something for everyone. We hold in store raffles and fundraising events including our annual summer mega-tombola. Donations are always welcome and parking is available on the High Street parking bays near the store.

About you
Support the shop management team with the day-to-day running of the shop. When trained and confident, you can take on the responsibility of covering the shop in the absence of any paid staff that may be attending meetings, are unwell or are on annual leave. Additional Training period can vary.


Please note - we do have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18. We regret that we cannot proceed with your application if you are not yet 18.

You will also be helping us to inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Full training will be provided, and travel at a reasonable local rate can be reimbursed for shifts of four hours or more, as agreed with the local manager.

How much time does the role take up?
Volunteering is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon. You can opt for weekdays, weekends, or as and when you are available.
