- THE ROLE -

Ulster University is seeking to appoint an exceptional and experienced candidate to provide strategic leadership and oversight in relation to our focus on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. This will be a wide-ranging role with leadership responsibility for the development and delivery of a new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy for both staff and students.

This work will be undertaken within the context of both the University’s emerging Sustainable Futures Strategy and the established People and Culture and Learning and Teaching Strategies.

The student and employee experience are at the heart of the University’s strategy and approach, and the Dean will play a significant role in championing, developing, and delivering an inclusive place to work and study, where people are treated fairly and have equal access to opportunities, and where difference is understood and valued.

The Dean will have an inclusive, determined, inspirational and authentic approach to leadership - encouraging ideas, initiative and innovation in others whilst establishing a cost-effective and high-performance culture based on continuous improvement, and aligned with the University’s values. They must be able to build strong and purposeful internal and external stakeholder relationships with established and potential partners and play a key strategic role in enabling the University to fulfil its potential.

The post is permanent and can be based on any of the University’s campuses.
