We’re currently looking for a Head of Logistics to lead our Logistics Team in Cambridge.

The Role

As the Head of Logistics, you will lead and co-ordinate our Logistics Team, ensuring they deliver on-time, cost effective inbound and outbound logistics planning.

Co-ordinating with the customer supply chain, you will gain an understanding of inbound deliveries and communicate these in a timely manner to the warehouse, ensuring efficient resource planning.

You will work with the Customer Experience Team to ascertain, and then deliver, the required standard of service for the end user.

Your role will also involve:

- Managing and planning inbound and outbound deliveries
- Identifying and implementing technological requirements to enhance operations
- Managing third party carrier relationships, ensuring suitability and scalability

About you

To be considered as our Head of Logistics, you will need:

- At least three years’ experience in a logistics leadership role
- Previous integration experience within carrier networks
- Working knowledge of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements, working time regulations and road transport regulations
- A good geographical knowledge and understanding of the UK
- A detail-orientated and customer focused approach
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of courier claims and reporting
- O Licence - advantageous but not essential
