We are now looking for a International Hotel Management Placement Coordinator to join us on a full time, permanent time basis, working 37 hours per week.

- THE ROLE -
The portfolio of Hospitality and Tourism Management programmes is a key growth area for the University, based within the Institute of Management and Health (IMH). It delivers degree and certificate programmes which provide opportunities for students to develop their knowledge, skills and experience within the hospitality and tourism sector.

Large student numbers within this portfolio and multiple intake points for the programmes make this a complex portfolio to deliver effectively and the focus of this post will be to provide high quality, pro-active support for the Placement team in activities specific to this portfolio including locating placement hotels for students, quality assurance, monitoring students on placement and providing support to staff and students throughout the placement period.

You will have an appreciation of the hospitality and tourism industry, be used to working with diverse communities and will exercise initiative and judgement within established procedures and policies to resolve daily work issues.

You will be required to work closely with the Academic Director, Programme Managers and
other relevant teams within relevant University guidelines and regulatory frameworks and to process information promptly and accurately to meet a range of deadlines across the academic year, including during the student vacation periods.

- ABOUT YOU -
To be considered as a Placement Coordinator, you will need:
- Educated to A level or equivalent experience
- Previous experience of providing high-quality administrative support in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and with appropriate attention to detail.
- Previous experience of providing high-quality customer service and able to demonstrate the use of effective written and spoken skills to communicate and negotiate with individuals, team members and across an organisation.
- Experience of planning, organising and prioritising own work and resources in order to achieve agreed objectives to meet conflicting deadlines.
- Able to demonstrate proactivity in undertaking tasks rather than expecting work to be allocated.
- Excellent IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (in particular Excel) and bespoke systems.
- Experience of the collation and input of data to various management systems ensuring a high degree of accuracy and completeness
- Experience of processing routine data and electronic forms in a timely fashion whilst maintaining confidentiality

It would also be beneficial if you;
- Are educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Had previous experience of working in Higher Education.
- Have ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh - oral and written
