About us
Our charity superstore is located in the Britten Centre, next to the library and opposite Iceland. We offer a wide range of goods, including furniture, electricals and clothing. Our Community Hub Store has a very warm and friendly atmosphere, we have an open door policy were everybody is welcomed to pop in for a chat and a cup of tea. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service at all times. We offer wide range pre-loved goods from large furniture items and soft furnishings to pictures and electricals - not to mention those little knick-knacks to make your house a home, plus extensive range of clothing, books, dvds & cds and childrens toys. Plus a whole new range of new goods that can be viewed on the Sue Ryder website.

About you
Do you have an eye for a bargain, get excited about sustainable fashion, love helping customers discover pre-loved treasures? As a Retail Customer Service & Till Volunteer you will be one of the stores friendly faces who will help us to provide the best customer experience.

Please note - we do have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18. We regret that we cannot proceed with your application if you are not yet 18.

You will also be helping us to inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Full training will be provided, and travel at a reasonable local rate can be reimbursed for shifts of four hours or more, as agreed with the local manager.

How much time does the role take up?
Volunteering is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon. You can opt for weekdays, weekends, or as and when you are available.
