The Role

Fixed term until 25 September 2025.
We are looking for a Conservation Works Project Creation Officer to help us create projects that will restore the moorland landscape of the South Pennines and Peak District National Park.

You will be responsible for creating projects that will deliver evidence-based peatland conservation and inspire people to take action to protect the peatlands. These projects will help improve water quality in reservoirs and rivers, reducing the risk of flooding, actively fight climate change, reduce the risk of moorland wildfires and create habitats for special wildlife including many endangered birds.

About You
You will have a passion for conservation and restoration and a qualification / equivalent relevant experience in an environmental discipline. You will be a self-starter able to work under your own initiative. A creative streak underpinned by solid organisational and analytical skills, plus project management experience in a similar environment are also skills we are looking for. Most importantly you will be a team player who thrives on collaborating and partnership working to achieve outstanding results.
