We are now looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our Swansea campus on a full-time permanent basis working 37 hours per week.

- THE ROLE -
You will be responsible for helping to process the University’s payroll (including subsidiaries and the University of Wales), the preparation of the net pay BACS file, and for ensuring that the monthly payroll deductions payments are processed on a timely basis. You will work within the payroll/expenses team.

- ABOUT YOU -
To be considered as a Senior Payroll Officer you will need:
- Good general level of education.
- Previous experience of processing payroll
- Knowledge and experience of pensions including monthly and annual returns
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to demonstrate effective organisational skills.
- Ability to apply attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Possesses excellent IT skills
- Demonstrates self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised
- Recognises the need for and demonstrates appropriate confidentiality
- Able and prepared to work flexibly, including travel between campuses and locations when required

The following would be beneficial to your role:
- Relevant professional qualifications
- Educated to degree level.
- Previous experience of working in Higher Education
- Previous experience of working with Resourcelink Payroll Software
- Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh (oral and written).
