Retail Customer Service & Till Volunteer

Volunteer to help Sue Ryder to be there when it matters.

About us
Our Hainault shop is looking for volunteers to join the team. Whilst our shop is small we hold many new goods such as household items, garden ornaments, accessories, cards, wool and sweets. Our donated stock is replenished on a daily basis, giving our customers a great deal of choice in what to buy. With a friendly smile and a great atmosphere you can always be sure that your visit is an enjoyable experience.

About you
Do you have an eye for a bargain, get excited about sustainable fashion or love helping customers discover pre-loved treasures? As a Retail Customer Service & Till volunteer you will be one of the store’s friendly faces who will help us to provide the best customer experience.

Please note - we do have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18. We regret that we cannot proceed with your application if you are not yet 18.

How you’ll benefit
• Join a friendly team & make new friends
• Gain confidence & customer service skills
• Get valuable retail experience & enhance your CV
• Receive discounted donated goods and travel expenses
• Give back to your community
• Support people through the most difficult times of their lives

You will also be helping us to inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Full training will be provided, and travel at a reasonable local rate can be reimbursed for shifts of four hours or more, as agreed with the local manager.

How much time does the role take up?
Volunteering is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon. You can opt for weekdays, weekends, or as and when you are available.

Why not arrange a taster session?
You can register your interest in volunteering online or directly in store. You can have a no-obligation taster session in your chosen shop.
