We are looking for an IT Business Partner to be based in Derby, Wellingborough, Bedford, Milton Keynes or Leeds (travel to other sites will be required).

The role of IT Business Partner (ITBP) is responsible for establishing close relationships with assigned business units to understand, influence and prioritize key strategic business drivers, risk areas and improvement opportunities to build and support the IT Business Environment.

The role will offer a salary of 50-65K (subject to experience) and the opportunity to work remotely up to 4 days per week (subject to business requirements).

Key responsibilities:
1. Project Management
• Oversee and progress key strategic IT projects to ensure correct prioritisation of activity criteria (e.g. return on investment, productivity, compliance), ensuring timelines are achieved, escalating any potential variances to the stakeholders in a timely manner
• Understand and agree appropriate resourcing levels to achieve project requirements, providing options as to resource and completion projections
• Regularly review current and planned Project Activity to ensure appropriate functional resourcing, addressing any gaps at the earliest opportunity
• Proactively share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities when prioritising IT Project to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units
2. Client Collaboration
• Through established relationships, understand and predict pipeline activity in relation to key projects, requirements and delivery objectives.
• Through understanding of customer needs, offer appropriate alternative solutions to ensure the best possible result can be achieved for the desired solutions, facilitating decision making and arbitration relating to trade-offs both within and between different solution platforms
3. Relationships & Teamwork
• Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships, ensuring a high level of communication and collaboration between all parties
• Effectively communicate with customers, meeting on regular basis to provide project updates, providing business updates as required
• Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.
4. Continuous Improvement
• As required review business performance indicators and prepare recommendations and business plans as needed to support business efficiency improvements
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market technology and best practice, recommending appropriate initiatives to maintain our market competitiveness
5. Business Support
• Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets for respective business areas.
• Support with any other new project implementation activity, business tendering involvement, customer meetings, performance reviews, etc


Key requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree level qualification and/or proven career record of IT/ business/industry work experience at a senior level
• Proven leadership experience, including developing and executing strategic plans and/or project portfolios
• Ability and enthusiasm to understand and interpret operational aspects and apply this to a financial perspective.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proven history of resolving data integrity issues.
• Strong stakeholder influencing skills and ability to build rapport at all levels of the organisation.
• Flexible and proactive approach
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Good working Knowledge of Microsoft products
• Driving licence
