- THE ROLE -

This study will provide an exciting opportunity to work with an experienced multi-disciplinary team on an NIHR PHR funded multi-centre randomised feasibility-controlled trial. The post will entail supporting older adults with learning disabilities to engage in mainstream older person community groups supported by mentors compared to usual care. You will be working within the NHSCT, Volunteer Now and London, to identify and recruit adults with learning disabilities, and the community groups and mentors. There will be a need to liaise with study partners and occasionally there may be a need to visit the London site. The successful applicant will be based in the Centre for Complex Needs, Institute of Nursing and Health Research and work with high profile researchers and clinicians to deliver this trial.

- ABOUT YOU -

- Do you hold an Honours degree minimum of a 2:1 (or equivalent) in a public health-related discipline (such as nursing, psychology, health, social science)?

- Do you hold PhD, (or submitting your PhD within the next six months) in a public health-related area (such as nursing, psychology, health, social science) or a closely related discipline?

- Do you have experience of recruiting adults with learning disability / older people / vulnerable populations into research projects?
