We’re now looking for an Activity Group Co-ordinator to join our team in Dundee on a part-time, fixed-term contract until 31st March 2023.

Overview

Our Falls Prevention Groups play a key role in supporting older people in engaging in activities that will help prevent them from falling.

The Role

In this key role as the Activity Group Co-ordinator, you will support the Service Manager in co-ordinating the groups and supporting, encouraging and motivating volunteers to help with our Falls Prevention Groups.

Your duties will include:

- Delivering activity groups in the community
- Recruiting, training and supporting volunteers
- Managing and reporting on local delivery budget and expenditure
- Adding value to the Virtual Village Hall (VVH) and promoting this to the wider community

The successful candidate will work from home and travel to the activity groups and to the office based at The Royal Victoria Hospital.

Working Hours

This is a part-time, fixed-term contract for 15 hours per week, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, until 31st March 2023.

What you’ll need

- Proven ability to deliver community activities in a safe and compliant manner
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
- Proven ability of successful working with volunteers
- The ability to inspire motivate and sustain community activity
- A full, valid driving licence
