Just a 25-minute train journey from the centre of London, Dacorum occupies an enviable location just outside of the M25 and is home to the towns of Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring. Dacorum is an active and green place which is a centre of business, enterprise and ambition.

We have formed a new Resident Services Directorate, made up of the following services; Community Safety, Environmental Protection, Environmental Services, Housing Management, HRA Property and Strategic Housing providing vital services to our residents across the borough. This is a fantastic time to join the Council and play a key role in shaping our collaborative approach to maintaining our homes ensuring they meet required standards, identifying opportunities to invest in our homes ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and improve thermal efficiency.

To support our ambitions, we’re recruiting to a newly formed Strategic Housing & Investment Team reporting to the Assistant Director - Strategic Housing and Delivery. Key areas of the team’s responsibility will be to lead reviews of our estates, secure funding for new affordable homes in the borough, maximising investment in affordable housing, developing an affordable housing supply pipeline for the borough, which meets local housing need and manages supply to ensure that our affordable housing requirements are met.

The team will design, commission and manage a review of the borough’s estates to identify regeneration priorities and options, that improve quality of life for our residents. They will develop and maintain strategic partnerships through collaborative activity, stakeholder forums and proactive engagement to realise new opportunities, which deliver our corporate vision, values and priorities.

We have a total of four posts within the team, dependent on the level of skills and experience - as defined in the Person Specification document. Please visit our website for all the details and to apply: www.dacorum.gov.uk
