Part Time, Permanent (22.2 hours, 0.6 FTE) - Weekend Delivery
Salary: Grade 4 / £23,715 to £27,131 per annum plus London Weighting Allowance (pro rata)

The Institute of Inner-City Learning is seeking to appoint an Assessment Officer at its London Campus.

- THE ROLE -
The post holder will be a member of the Assessment team and will be responsible for ensuring assessments are conducted and results tracked in compliance with policies of the University and other relevant regulatory bodies.
The post holder’s priority will be to ensure that all students will receive feedback (provisional/final) on their work (both mid-term and end of term) within the time frame set out in the University’s turn-around of work assessment policy.

-MAIN DUTIES-
• Coordinating the assessment submission timetable for every term of study alongside academic staff
• Ensuring that the virtual learning environment (Moodle or similar), is kept up-to-date with submission portals and assessment briefs for all taught modules and that all students have appropriate access
• Supporting students in order to ensure they have complete, accurate and timely information regarding their assignment submission processes, progression and graduation
• Maintaining the Assessment Team’s presence on the Student Help Desk or similar arrangements
• Ensuring that all lecturers have access to the appropriate marking information for their taught modules
• Collecting, inputting and maintaining accurate student data and producing management information as necessary
• Preparing resources for both internal and external moderation of module marks
• Preparing and, when necessary, presenting, student profiles at Examining Boards
• Providing effective and efficient administrative support to Examining Boards
• Ensuring that all students will receive feedback (provisional/final) on their work (both mid-term and end of term) within the time frame set out in the University’s turn-around of work assessment policy
• Liaising with relevant colleagues, including the Academic Office and Registry, as appropriate
• Supporting the QA Unit in the investigation of academic misconduct and the completion and submission of any relevant academic misconduct investigation files
• Producing relevant reports for colleagues on assessment matters
• Providing relevant information to students relating to their assessment cycle
• Ensuring that all data is provided in a timely manner to maintain the University’s Quality Assurance processes and standards
• Adhering to all relevant processes and procedures as outlined in the UWTSD Academic Quality Handbook
• Any other duties as commensurate with the level of the role

- REQUIREMENTS -
You should have:
• Good level of general education
• Previous administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Evidence of the ability to apply attention to detail
• Evidence of the ability to meet tight deadlines
• IT literate possessing knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
• Able to work as part of a team and in partnership with others
