Farming in Protected Landscapes programme was launched in summer 2021 with funding from DEFRA. The programme is designed to help farmers and land managers in National Parks and AONBs to prepare for the transition to Environmental Land Management Schemes by supporting the delivery of environmental outcomes and public goods.

We’re looking for a new Farming in Protected Landscapes Administrator to support this key programme in the North York Moors Park Authority.

The Role

As the Farming in Protected Landscapes Administrator, you will be tasked with supporting a range of projects within the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) Programme.

Specifically, you will provide administrative support, assisting with financial management, monitoring and reporting, supporting the Local Assessment panel, inspecting and making grant offers, agreements and payments, and creating reports.

This varied and engaging role will also see you providing technical support in terms of monitoring budgets, minutes taking and support for setting up events and workshops, as well as supporting project and programme evaluation.

About You

To be considered as the Farming in Protected Landscapes Administrator, you will need experience of:

- supporting the delivery of projects and programmes through administrative duties and basic communications
- monitoring and recording expenditure
- scheduling meetings and taking accurate notes
- writing detailed and accessible reports
- Ideally at a minimum, Business Administration or finance management related qualification to Level 2

Experience of effectively using Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint would be beneficial to your application, as would experience of supporting the production of reports.

Experience of using GIS/Earthlight to manage, digitise, display and analyse information would also be an advantage.
