Every item sold in our shops generates funding so we can continue to provide 2.7 million hours of expert medical, practical and emotional support every year, in our hospices and neurological centres, in people's homes and in the community.

We have a much-loved presence on high streets across the country - with a range of new and innovative shops, including boutiques, vintage and retro shops, and large format stores. As a member of the retail volunteering team you’ll be helping us Inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. You will also be contributing to drive up the income that generates the vital funds necessary to keep our care and support services running.

If the answer is yes then this is a fantastic opportunity to work with the Volunteer and Community Plus Manager helping to develop a high quality and efficient volunteer support service. The service will provide effective support for volunteers concerns and complaints across retail and support services using our internal systems policies and procedures.

About you
Although knowledge of working with volunteers is desirable what is essential is that you have excellent communication skills with the ability to listen, articulate and communicate with a diverse range of people. You will be comfortable working on your own initiative and with team members who work remotely. You will be proficient in Microsoft office and able to manage data with great organisation skills with attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities
• Provide a transparent, independent and empathetic service, managing the volunteer case logs on the Datix system, ensuring accurate and timely entries
• Assist in the production of letters to Volunteers (both written and via email)
• Liaise with the Volunteer Coordinators, Retail Senior Managers and People Advisors as required in order to handle all complaints in line with polices and procedures
• Update internal databases as required
