We are looking to recruit a Principal Building Surveyor, to lead our team delivering improvement projects to our housing stock to enable residents to remain independent in their home. The successful candidate will ideally have a good working knowledge across all areas of asset management within social housing with a specialism of aids and adaptations and good AutoCAD® skills.

You will be part of a dynamic team in Housing and Investment ensuring that our adaptations are delivered to a high standard and represent value for money.

The successful candidate will have:
• A good understanding of issues affecting local government including knowledge of government policy and initiatives affecting asset management.
• Experience with asset management software and database management.
• Experience of using Autocad for the production of high quality plans and drawings.
• A good understanding of how to analyse and interpret financial, performance and resource information.
• Ability to support programmes of challenging projects and to contribute to major projects, programmes and initiatives.
• Excellent computer skills (competent in using Microsoft Office IT packages including Excel)
• Be able to work on your own initiative and have excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage staff and to lead a small team of two
