We are now looking for an Ocean Freight Business Development Manager to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As an Ocean Freight Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients in the ocean freight sector.

Specifically, you’ll be selling our international freight solutions to businesses throughout the country. You’ll be forging great working relationships and building a pipeline through which you will have a constant flow of lucrative clients.

As the main point of contact for all UK ocean freight enquiries, you’ll be the lynchpin of our BD activity, identifying new opportunities and closing deals to win customers.

Additionally, you will:

- Accurately maintain the CRM system
- Plan and carry out weekly sales calls
- Carry out regular reporting

About You

To be considered as an Ocean Freight Business Development Manager, you will need:

- Sales experience in a multi-national freight forwarding company
- Excellent knowledge of the UK ocean freight market
- Commercial acumen
- A degree, or equivalent
- A full, valid driving licence
