We are currently looking for a Developer to join our Digital Team in Birmingham on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As a Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and progressing digital services alongside the Digital Team.

Supporting both back and front-end development and integration with 3rd party software, you will ensure services are simple, efficient and accessible.

You will also continually work to identify and implement improvements to existing services, collaborating with the rest of the team.

About You

To be considered as a Developer, you will need:

- Experience of building scalable server-side cloud-based web applications in Microsoft Azure
- Experience of agile development, software patterns, continuous integration and Test-Driven Development
- Experience of version and source control and their configuration
- The ability to deliver maintainable, clean code and follow coding standards
- The ability to build secure digital services
- The ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- The ability to quickly research and learn new programming tools and techniques
- Detailed knowledge of the C#, .NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core and MVC programming languages
- Knowledge of OWASP and other vulnerabilities
- Detailed understanding of front-end web development
- An understanding of the role of accessibility in digital services
