We are now seeking several School Transport Drivers to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis, working a minimum of 12.5 hours per week. We can accommodate various working hours including 16 hours per week for tax credit purposes.

The Role

As a School Transport Driver, you will transport Special Needs (SEN) or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college or day care centres.

Working in an effective, safe, flexible manner, you will establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, their carers and parents and the key people at the establishments they attend.

You will also ensure the vehicle remains in a roadworthy, clean and tidy manner.

About You

To be considered as a School Transport Driver, you will need:

- To be able to drive a company supplied vehicle which includes cars, 8 seat people carriers and larger wheelchair accessible vehicles (all can be driven on a car licence)
- A full, valid driving licence

You must be 25 years of age or above due to vehicle insurance purposes. You will also need a Group 2 medical to comply with licensing standards.

The successful candidate will be required to pass an enhanced criminal record check as you will be working with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults.

Other organisations may call this role Transportation Driver, School-Run Driver, School Driver, or Driver.
