Action Mental Health (AMH)is a leading charity which actively promotes the mental health and well-being of people in Northern Ireland. A range of support services are available with programmes targeted across the age-span, from 3 years to older people. Our mental health services are aimed at supporting recovery and building emotional resilience and wellbeing. These are delivered through specific programmes with a focus on personal and health development, vocational and employment training, talking therapies and resilience building. AMH is a regional organisation delivering services across all of Northern Ireland. We are also involved in cross border programmes funded via the EU with partners in Ireland, Spain, Italy, Germany, Finland and Sweden.

- THE ROLE -

Action Mental Health, in collaboration with Ulster University, has established a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) and is offering an exciting opportunity to work as a KTP Associate to oversee the design, development and introduction of novel digital services that support the organisation’s clients in accessing services. In doing so, he/she will design, develop, and embed an ambitious, organization-wide, digital transformation framework called the CREDIT platform (standing for 'Counselling, Resilience Emotional Digital Innovation Transformation').

This KTP project provides a unique opportunity for an ambitious graduate to apply his/her knowledge and skills to a real industry challenge whilst benefitting from the supervision of world-leading academics and industry experts. In doing so, he/she will enhance their expertise in web and user-interface development and will also acquire new skills in strategic leadership that can help to super-charge their career.

- ABOUT YOU -

Applicants should hold an honours degree in Computer Science, Computing or a closely-related discipline at 2:1 or above. They should have good skills and experience in three or more of the following areas: requirements gathering for software design; artificial intelligence; software development; user experience design; user interface design.

The appointment will be for a period of two years and although the post is administratively linked to the University, the Associate will be based at the Company’s premises in Newtownards. Successful completion of the KTP may lead to a new position within the company partner at the end of the project period.
