Olleco is on a mission to help protect the planet, working together with thousands of foodservice businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by hundreds and thousands of tonnes. We are now looking for a Regional SHEQ Advisor to join our team and help us to continue to do things the right way for customers, colleagues and the planet.

With over 1,000 colleagues in multiple sites nationwide delivering excellence performance, we supply premium cooking oils, and collect organic waste, which is then converted into bio-methane, electricity, heat and organic fertiliser. We offer the human touch with a local, community-based depots which seek to give back to those communities every chance we get.

As a Regional SHEQ Manager supporting our Northern depots, you will be a fundamental part of our team, enabling us to continue with our mission to serve the planet, a purpose we care strongly about and are committed to. This role has 1 direct report.

A little bit more about the role:

- Support the implementation of the Group SHEQ Management Systems for the areas of control
- Improve and maintain SHEQ Management Systems
- Ensure compliance with legislation and our management system requirements
- Conduct accident investigations and follow up with improvement actions
- Support SHEQ communications dissemination to ensure all are fully informed of the latest SHEQ developments and help drive SHEQ cultural change
- Ensure the development of processes that will withstand the scrutiny of third-party auditors with respect to ISO accreditations
- Follow up on audits by external bodies
- Ensure that all tasks are undertaken in a safe manner and any incidents or hazards are reported
- Highlight any unsafe activities to the colleague undertaking them and the managers in control of those areas
- Progress process safety improvements
- Deliver on site SHEQ training and support the roll out of Group wide training initiatives
- Support the effective running of site SHE Committees

We will coach, train and support you, it’s more important that you have the right interpersonal skills and the intelligence to grasp our business and take us forward.

We will be looking for:

- Process Safety experience (essential)
- A trained and competent risk assessor
- Environmental systems knowledge
- Knowledge of all relevant legislative requirements
- NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent)
- IOSH membership
- Great organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A team player
- IT proficiency
- A full, valid driving licence
