Salary: Trinity Band H £53,321 - £56,780 per annum including London weighting
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join our facilities team as Head of Facilities.

Responsibilities of the Head of Facilities

In this role you will lead the strategic management of all Facilities Management functions to maintain optimum accommodation, environmental and support services standards within our FM guidelines and budgetary constraints.

You will also:

- Set the estates strategy
- Ensure all buildings, equipment, transport and plant work efficiently and effectively, meet the required organisational standards and fulfil all statutory and regulatory obligations
- Develop departmental systems and processes to ensure the services delivered are proactive, on time and continually improve the patient and staff environment
- In conjunction with Health and Safety Consultant, ensure the internal and external environment is safe and that all relevant risk management activities are completed to the required standards
- Act as Health and Safety Manager

Skills and experience required

- A qualification in Health and Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH)
- Extensive senior facilities management experience gained in comparable environments
- Must have experience and knowledge of Health and Safety regulations for employers and health care organisations including fire safety regulations, NHS cleaning standards, asbestos management and legionella management
- Experience of negotiating and procuring facilities management contracts based upon best practices principles
- Thorough, detailed and well-organised
- First class communicator with excellent leadership qualities with proven experience of mentoring and managing teams
