Senior Lead Operator

A little bit more about the role:

- A hands on roll ensuring the Anaerobic Digestion plant functions efficiently and effectively
- Ensure the plant is optimised from a biochemical, operational and technical perspective
- Undertake and allocate a range of day-to-day tasks leading a team of 5 operators
- Support the Operations Manager in their day-to-day responsibilities
- Ensure the required Environmental checks are completed
- Monitor the de-packers throughout the day to optimise water consumption, throughput of feed stock and ensure on targets are achieved
- Undertake sampling and quality checks using the lab equipment
- Look for opportunities to continuously optimise and develop the current process
- Act as the Operations Manager to cover periods of absence

What are we looking for? As you can imagine, you’ll need a broad range of personal skills to succeed, but we don’t expect you to have everything from the start! We will coach, train and support you, it’s more important that you have the right interpersonal skills and the intelligence to grasp our business and take us forward.

We will be looking for:

- Experience in an industrial related field, ideally anaerobic digestion or waste recycling (desirable but not essential)
- Experience of working on a mobile plant (desirable but not essential)

- Experience of managing activities and performance within defined process parameters
- High SHEQ standards and sound knowledge of safety practices

An industry or role related qualification would be beneficial but not essential. Experience of SCADA systems would also be an advantage.
