We are currently seeking a talented Community & Events Fundraising Manager to join us on a permanent basis. Advertised as a full-time role, we are happy to discuss flexible working patterns. This is an exciting role for a proactive and motivated individual, looking to make their mark and take the next step in their career.

You will be joining a newly formed Relationship Fundraising team and leading the development and establishment of our community and events fundraising programme, with an approach based in building long term relationships with volunteer fundraisers. You will have the opportunity to shape and develop our approach, with the support of a team who are all working towards the same goal.

The Role

As our Community & Events Fundraising Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of our new Community & Events fundraising strategy. Community & Events fundraising is in its infancy at RVS, with huge potential, as a charity with a wide network of amazing volunteers and reach across Britain.

Supporting our goal of increasing income, you will work with teams across the charity to grow a strong volunteer fundraiser network and develop relationships with our volunteers and other audiences.

As our expert on community and event fundraising, you will determine the best approach to building a sustainable income over time. You will create an innovation approach to establishing the best routes to market and develop compelling products to support fundraising. And you will manage the delivery of a range of events and activities to create a sustainable income stream for the charity.

You will establish and deliver excellent supporter stewardship to ensure we build strong relationships with our supporters.

In short you will:

- Support and inspire fundraisers
- Establish and manage a team
- Help develop the strategy and budget for Community & Events Fundraising
- Lead on the innovation and testing of new products
- Establish KPIs, monitoring and risk management
- Work with the marketing, media and digital teams to maximise income opportunities

Working Hours

This is advertised as a full-time position, working 35 hours per week, however we are open to discussing flexible working options.

What you’ll need

To be considered as our Community & Events Fundraising Manager, you will need:

- Experience of managing a mixed community and events portfolio
- Experience of stewarding and inspiring volunteer fundraisers
- Experience of product innovation and testing with new audiences
- Experience of working with third party platforms to facilitate fundraising
- Experience of working with database and using insight to drive activity
- Proven experience of achieving objective and reporting
- To be creative, collaborative and organised
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to pitch a compelling case
