We are now looking for a Visa Services and Compliance Manager to join us on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week.

- THE ROLE -
You will work closely with the International Registry and International Recruitment teams to lead on and advise on the Visa requirements, all UKVI compliance matters and immigration record management of international students on all of the University’s campuses. You will also lead on the development of an in house visa service for all prospective students and will oversee the delivery of the service in accordance with external regulatory frameworks. Reporting directly to the Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement). You will be required to lead the University’s work on maintaining Student route sponsorship compliance and will need to keep up-to-date with new regulations introduced by UKVI. In this regard you will work alongside the Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) attend all UKVI external meetings and audit events.

You will be required to lead on the assessment of international student applications that require student route sponsorship, to ensure applications meets the necessary UK Visa requirements. You will lead on the coordination and management of credibility interviews, and will make decisions on whether applicants may be progressed to the issuing of a CAS, as defined in the UK immigration policies. You will also be required to assist the Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) in leading and managing the ongoing and annual internal immigration audit work. You will work collaboratively with the International Registry Manager and will be required to lead in providing training, as necessary, to University staff on relevant immigration regulations, and deputise for the Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) as needed, on matters in relation to immigration and visa policy.

- ABOUT YOU -
To be considered as a Visa Services and Compliance Manager, you will need:
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent
- Current or recent experience in the higher education sector or the immigration sector
- Excellent knowledge of immigration regulations
- Previous experience in providing high quality administrative support
- Previous experience in making decisions on applications based on personal judgements
- Previous experience of customer care
- Previous experience of data entry
- Experience of managing and leading a team
- Experience in using MS Office and IT systems

It would also be beneficial if you had:
- Knowledge of HE admissions procedures
- Experience of dealing with international applicants
- Experience in managing an application process
- Experience of using a student record system
- Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh (oral and written)
