About us
Brockhole on Windermere is located between Windermere and Ambleside on the shores of Lake Windermere in the heart of the Lake District National Park. We have a selection of catering outlets, including the Garden Shed and Lakeshore Cafe as well our award nominated restaurant, The Gaddum, and the main Cafe in Brockhole House.

Following an award-winning year, where Brockhole-on-Windermere won ‘Best Large Tourist Attraction’, we are now looking to grow and diversify the service at our beautiful site, and we need cafe and restaurant assistants to help deliver our exceptional customer service to returning and new customers.

We're now hiring casual Catering Assistants for the 2023 visitor season so if you're looking for a fun summer job filled with variety or the opportunity to develop and gain experience for your career, we'd love to hear from you!

You don’t need to have previous catering experience, as we will provide full training, but you do need to want to learn, be willing to work hard and to serve customers with enthusiasm and a smile.

What will I be doing?
Café Assistants:

Making a variety of hot drinks
Excellent customer service
Scooping ice creams
Table service
Packaging/labelling sandwiches
Maintaining stock within café outlets

Restaurant Assistants:
Serving afternoon teas and lunches
Excellent customer service
Potential evening event work
Learning about the produce from the kitchen team
Serving alcoholic beverages
