Purchase Ledger Assistant

The Role

Reporting to the Procurement & Purchase Ledger Manager you will be an active member of the purchase ledger team, ensuring that transactions are processed in an efficient, accurate and timely manner and helping to maintain the integrity of the purchase ledger.

Other responsibilities include:

• Utilise the Finance System to prepare and check payment runs to ensure all invoices and credit notes are processed in time to meet supplier payment terms.
• Process invoices and credit notes both individually and by using transaction broker while accurately distributing costs associated with each budget according to the management information provided.
• Log & distribute invoices for authorisation using finance systems in place
• Process staff expense claims
• Follow processes when dealing with Direct Debit payments and other payment methods that ensures accurate accounting and audit trails of transactions

About You

It’s an exciting time to join Sue Ryder and to hit the ground running you will have previous experience within a purchase ledger and busy finance environment. Computer skills and knowledge of the access account system are desirable along with a good level of literacy skills. You will have excellent communication skills with experience of working to deadlines and working under own initiative.
