Overview

The Healthy and Happy Lives Service supports the needs of older people in local communities. The service provides nutrition, hydration and both cognitive and physical exercises through a volunteer team with varied roles, with the aim of reducing the overall impact of isolation and loneliness and preventing admission to hospital.

We’re currently looking for an Activity Group Co-ordinator to join us on a fixed-term contract until the end of August 2023.

The Role

As an Activity Group Co-ordinator, you will manage the day-to-day co-ordination of the service in Dundee.

Supporting the Service Manager, you will deal with enquiries and promote the service, adhering to relevant policies and standards, including Safeguarding and Incident Reporting.

You will also ensure arrangements are in place for the recruitment and coordination of volunteers, and their activities, the training of volunteers, support and valuing of volunteers.

Additionally, you will:

- Develop and maintain relationships with key local contacts
- Participate in local fundraising
- Oversee general administrative duties

Working Hours

This is a part-time position, working 15 hours per week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This is a fixed term position until the 31st August 2023.

There may also be opportunities for paid overtime in busy periods or to cover absences.

What you’ll need

- Knowledge and understanding of the NHS, Health and Social Care Partnerships and local authority Commissioning
- Excellent communications ability at all levels
