About the role

This new opportunity will require enablers, who can bring together ideas, people and opportunities; the roles are essential in realising our bold research strategy. Our mission is to provide excellent support to our academic Faculties (Science, Engineering and Design, Humanities and Social Sciences) and School of Management.

You will provide expert advice and guidance to support the preparation of research grants, including major or strategic Faculty bids. Working collaboratively with colleagues across schools and professional services, you will be an enabler for change.

To facilitate the best quality advice and identification of key opportunities, the post-holder will be expected to develop a strong network of contacts within funding bodies and to be able to provide insights for academic colleagues to link their bid to key priorities of the funder.

These roles are offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis.

About you:

- Possess a good understanding of research in higher education, the research funding landscape and the opportunities and challenges faced by the sector.
- Have experience leading strategic projects.
- Be able to work collaboratively, have a strong ability to influence decision making as well as strong demonstrable problem-solving skills.

For an informal discussion, please contact the Head of Research Development, Dr Kate Charles or Richard Hocking, Head of Post-Award & Project Management. Please note that all applications must be submitted online via the University of Bath jobs website, applications via email are not accepted.
