We are now looking for an Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Officer to join one of our Campus locations, on a Full Time, Permanent basis.

-THE ROLE-

You will contribute directly to the delivery of the Strategic Equality Plan which articulates our commitment to ensuring that ‘we provide an inclusive learning and working environment in which our learners, students and staff can flourish as a healthy and inclusive learning community, free from prejudice and discrimination’.
The aim of this post is to proactively engage with all student communities to identify and deliver interventions which break down the barriers to learning and future prospects. You will work alongside other stakeholders from across the university and establish partnerships to support us to learn directly from underrepresented and diverse student groups.


- ABOUT YOU -

To be considered as an Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Officer, you will need:

- An understanding of the barriers faced by diverse and underrepresented communities wanting to engage in Higher Education
- Excellent communication skills and experience of directly engaging diverse groups, adapting style and approach as required
- Experience of developing and delivering interventions, workshops, training in related area, including evaluation and measuring impact.
- Experience of building relationships and working collaboratively with a diverse range of people, organisations and stakeholders.
- An understanding of the statutory responsibilities of HEI’s and the policies which relate to equity, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Experience of evaluation and use of data to inform service development and delivery

It would also be beneficial if you have:

- Experience of working with under - represented groups in Higher Education
- Data collection and analysis skills including use of surveys and evaluations
