We are seeking a Diversity and Inclusion Business Partner to support the delivery of our Diversity and Inclusion strategy and action plan. This is a new role that will work alongside colleagues in the People Directorate, Senior Leaders, Managers, Colleague Network Groups - Intercultural Group, Disability Group, LGBTQ+ Group, Wellbeing Lead, and our colleagues who work across 17 boroughs in London.

About the role

The Diversity and Inclusion Business Partner reports to the Head of Human Resources and will hold operational responsibility for delivering our next 3-year Diversity and Inclusion strategy and action plan, D&I and Colleague Engagement priorities, plans and projects.

You will be passionate about Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement and able to share an inspiring vision for more diverse and inclusive services and workplaces. You will have the ability to ensure that our strategies and plans are given the leadership they deserve, turning our plans into a reality, acting as a central point of expertise on current requirements, challenges and best practice in Diversity and Inclusion and engaging colleagues in our vision for an inclusive workplace.

Duties will include:

- Lead and manage the delivery of our 3-year D&I strategy, engaging with colleagues to shape and deliver our D&I action plan.
- Enable a culture where D&I is owned and embedded by everyone, helping us to recruit, develop, engage, and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- In partnership with others, build the knowledge, confidence, and capability of colleagues and managers on Diversity and Inclusion, supported by processes, policies, and systems.
- Develop awareness, campaigns, communications and training for Diversity and Inclusion, working with stakeholders and Marketing colleagues to collaborate on programmes and activities and continue to build our brand as an employer of choice.
- Support, facilitate and monitor the impact of projects and activities in service of our D&I and colleague engagement plans; ensuring this is captured and reported regularly.
- Lead the Diversity and Inclusion steering group working closely with Head of HR and Director of People and OD.
- Support and empower Colleague Network Groups, including Intercultural Group, Disability Network and LGBTQ+ Network, working with the leads of each network.

About you

To be a Diversity and Inclusion Business Partner at Certitude, the following are essential:

- Experience of successfully managing diversity and inclusion related change initiatives and or programmes.
- Experience in managing projects, capable of running a variety of projects simultaneously, managing and influencing stakeholders.
- Experience of devising and delivering innovative diversity and inclusion initiatives that have had measurable impact.
- Excellent knowledge of diversity and inclusion issues, best practice, and legislation.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of barriers faced by underrepresented groups and how to mitigate these.
