We are now looking for a Production Operator to join our Operations Team in Ballygowan on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Production Operator, you will manufacture advanced composite parts and assemblies for clients in the aerospace, defence and automotive sectors.

Specifically, your role will involve a combination of manual lay up fabrication and the delivery of varied manufactured components and projects, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You will travel to sites across the UK and Ireland, assessing and repairing GRP and FRP reinforced plastics and ensuring compliance with health & safety standards. Travel is occasional depending on the projects we are running. At the moment travel will typically be one week in four to Appledore North Dorset. There is a generous £150 travel allowance and £145 expenses allowance when traveling.

Additionally, you will use associated hand tools to carry out grinding, cutting and dust extraction, as well as preparing resin materials and cleaning equipment.

About You

To be considered as a Production Operator, you will need:

- Experience with hand lay up of GRP / FRP / Carbon Fibre / Prepreg materials
- Flexibility to travel within the UK due to business requirements
- The ability to follow work instructions and/or standard work and deliver to quality standards
- The ability to work safety and to a high level of cleanliness
- Willingness to use full respiratory and coverall PPE
- Willingness to undergo a BPSS security check
- Willingness to sign the official secrets act
