ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity within the Income Services Team.

You will

• deliver a high-quality customer-focussed former tenant arrears and recharges recovery service within a performance management framework and ensure the accuracy and maintenance of financial databases and records.
• coordinate the recovery processes liaising and and working closely with Income Officers, other teams, and departments e.g., benefit services as well as supporting the Income Services team in the efficient and effective management of Income Collection and Arrear recovery.
• be dealing with both former and current tenant rent arrears and recharges queries, recovery arrangements to clear debt, providing general and debt advice to tenants ensuring that those with debt are contacted promptly, repayment arrangements are monitored effectively and undertaking legal action including attending court when necessary.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have

• experience in conducting investigations to trace former tenants.
• experience in a customer facing service, with excellent communication skills.
• ability to manage a busy workload.

• good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• determination to achieve targets.
• experience in dispute resolution.
• Negotiating skills to make sustainable and reasonable payment plans.
