About the role:
As part of our production team you will complete production testing, programming and repair of our wide range of instruments. You will have the opportunity to be involved in refining production processes and help bring our growing range of leading edge products to the market.

Your activities will require:
• Installing and commissioning Linux based systems
• Installation, testing and debugging of Windows based systems
• Provide remote support and diagnostics for in field upgrades
• Carry out programming and troubleshooting of embedded systems
• Perform general production testing of hardware and software across our wide range of instruments
• Assist in the assembly of test rigs and custom fixtures to aid production.
• Understanding and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications and work instructions
• Using hand tools safely and effectively
• Potential to travel to UK suppliers to offer technical support

What we’ll need from you:

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software systems
• Educated to HNC or equivalent in IT, computer systems or related field
• Experience of working in a maintenance/production environment.
• Advantageous to have Basic Fault finding and repair at PCB component level
• Experience of continuous improvement and lean processes is advantageous
• Current knowledge of safe engineering practices
• Be able to support others and have a flexible teamwork approach to work
