We are looking for a team orientated, customer focused and enthusiastic Desktop Engineer to support a leading client providing a best-in-class 2nd/3rd line support within a Tech Bar (Walk in Centre) environment and at the users deskside, the Tech Bar also provides a virtual service for remote workers.

This is a full-time permanent on-site position based in Leeds, working 37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.

Our client's site is located in the city centre with good access to public transport links, shops and city centre parking, limited on site parking is also available.

Due to the nature of the client's work the successful candidate will need to be able to obtain SC Security Clearance. For this reason, we are only able to progress with applications from British nationals.

As a Desktop Engineer your role will involve supporting the onsite tech bar and deskside services as well as remote appointments covering:
o Microsoft Windows operating system - all related issues
o Azure AD Management
o Intune Management for laptops/desktops and mobile devices
o Microsoft Office 365 /2019 - all related issues.
o Software related issues (Standard & Non-Standard).
o Standard and nonstandard HW Devices (inc peripherals like monitors, label printers, etc)
o Smartphones & Portable Devices experiences for SIM configuration, how-to questions, Hand on eyes software issues (IOS, Android, and Windows).
o Network cabling and port patching
o Smart Hands and Eyes for other support teams
o Break-fix/replacement of end users laptops

What we're looking for:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Support experience in either a Tech Bar (Walk in Centre) or direct end user desk side support
Previous experience in an IT support organisation covering:
o Microsoft Windows 10
o Microsoft 365/Office and applications inc Outlook,
o Intune
o Azure Active Directory,
o Basic hardware knowledge, laptop keyboards, memory, hard drives
o Experience with network fault troubleshooting
o Experience with network printer installs and configuration.
o Working with remote tools to control end user devices.
Good understanding of ITIL incident management
Ability to work independently (but still part of a larger team)

Desirable skills / qualifications:
o Previous or current SC security clearance desirable
o Driving license with own transport as there may be requirements to support other sites
