Sustainability Advisor
Location: Wednesbury/Birmingham/Langley
Working Schedule: Monday - Friday 37.5hours
Salary: £28,000-£30,000 + Bonus

The Role
Assist the Sustainability Manager in driving forward the divisional sustainability strategy and critical success factors with the support of OPCO management teams. Identify opportunities for the business to embrace aspects of sustainable development including waste reduction, low carbon travel, sustainable procurement and the circular economy. Collaborate with our divisional sales and marketing teams to promote our sustainability credentials.

Key Responsibilities
• Research the latest issues and developments in sustainability including best practice
• Work closely with purchasing, sourcing and suppliers on new product solutions and verifying environmental claims.
• Respond to emails and other requests, offering advice and support on environmental issues, or passing on complex requests to other team members, as appropriate.
• Assist with the preparation and production of sustainability reports as required.
• Manage availability of sustainability resources, such as leaflets and sales tools.
• Work closely with relevant Bunzl colleagues to drive sustainability across the businesses.
• Attend and feedback from relevant events.

Your skills
Min 2+ years’ experience in sustainability environment
A working knowledge on the key current sustainability issues
Comfortable using Microsoft 365 programmes including Excel, PowerBi and PowerPoint.
Consumable or FMCG Supply Chain knowledge would be advantageous.
