Due to rapid growth within the business, we’re looking for a Group Head of HR to join our amazing team at The B2W Group! This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic organisation making a difference within the community, based in Manchester Head Office.

The main role of the Group Head of HR is to lead on the strategic direction and implementation of robust strategies that protect the whole group, incorporating B2W Complete Training, Just IT, BePro and ECTA, and take into consideration all legislative duties. Alongside this, you will provide a range of wider HR services to all employees to improve workforce development and in turn improve efficiencies. The function of the HR team is to be responsible for supporting the business and to offer a high level of service to support managers & colleagues.

Main Responsibilities
• Assist the Associate Director of People in the development and direction of the Group HR function, assessing the impact of major policy and legislative change.
• Develop succession plans and actions and deliver training on HR initiatives, being proactive in recognising any new HR legislation matters relevant to the business.
• Design and implement strategic HR policy/performance/reward initiatives for the business, including ad hoc special projects or handling of complicated case management issues.
• Effective performance management of the HR team to maintain high levels of transactional HR duties including safer recruitment to reduce any risk.
• Monthly reporting to managers including staff data analysis including key HR metrics including, sickness (Bradford Index), leavers, starters, E&D, age and employment status.
• Ensuring Human Resources matters are handled fairly, consistently, and confidentially in line with legal and company requirements.

The Ideal Candidate
• 2+ years experience in a HR managerial role, particularly within the educational sector.
• A strong knowledge of employment law and HR processes, being able to deliver best practice and results for the business and have the courage to challenge where needed.
• L5 CIPD qualification or above.
