Catering Assistant - Carew Castle & Tidal Mill
Fixed Term (Start: ASAP - End: 05/11/2024)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Carew Castle for a Catering Assistant to join an enthusiastic team of individuals dedicated to delivering first class visitor experiences in a spectacular setting.
Carew Castle, set in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, has a fascinating history spanning more than 2000 years. Nest Tearoom opened at the Castle in 2018; it’s a cosy, bright and modern tearoom serving a selection of light lunches, homemade cakes and teas & coffees.
Carew Castle’s visitor services team were also awarded the ‘Sustainable Tourism Award’ and ‘Visitor Attraction of the Year’ by Visit Pembrokeshire’s Croeso Awards in 2023.

We are looking for someone who has:
• Experience of working in a café or catering environment
• Customer service skills
• The ability to be calm under pressure, reliable, and friendly and welcoming.
• Level 1 Food Hygiene and Safety

Salary and Benefits:

A range of working patterns are available to suit those looking for part time work, such as weekends / school holidays / term time and school hours.
A salary of £11.59 per hour, plus a supplementary living allowance where applicable. Minimum 25 days holiday rising to 30 days plus public holidays (pro rata) and a generous local government pension scheme.
