Edina is a leading power generation specialist and EPC solutions provider for the engineering, installation and maintenance of gas-fired distributed power plants, standby mission critical generation, and battery energy storage systems.

Edina specialises in the engineering, installation and after-care support of low carbon gas-fired Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants, fast response balancing peaking plants and mission-critical standby diesel generation.

We employ over 200 staff across our international operations located in the UK, Ireland, Australia and India, and collectively manage a growing portfolio of almost 1GW electrical distributed generation.

For over 35 years we continue to support the growth of decentralised low carbon power generation, helping businesses improve energy efficiency, cost savings, power resilience, and emission reduction as we collectively move towards achieving net zero.

We are currently looking to appoint a Tendering Engineer to join our Sales Team.

The Role

As a Tendering Engineer, you will support the Company's sales activity through the preparation of high quality tenders/quotations/proposals, that maximise the conversion of sales leads into profitable orders. You will liaise with the service and productions departments to ensure technical aspects of customers' requirements are met in the most-effective manner.

You will be responsible in conducting site visits to ensure correct rate analysis when quoting rates and ensure a timely response to live proposals and align with business priorities.

Your role will also involve:

- Reviewing and analysing detailed engineering tendering packages
- Carrying out technical and practical evaluations of viability
- Maintaining the communication process of updates and proposals with external contacts

About You

To be considered for this position, you will need:

- To hold a minimum qualification of a Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of two years' experience within a similar role
OR
- To have a minimum qualification of HND/HNC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of three years' experience within a similar role.
- To be a competent person with considerable technical expertise in power generation utilising reciprocating engines, batteries, standby and all associated mechanical and electrical systems.
- To have considerable experience in the successful technical management and development of Energy Projects.
- To have effective IT skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages and experience in using CRM systems for tracking proposals.
- To hold a full current driving licence

Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm.

The role requires a flexible approach to working conditions due to the nature of the role.
