We are currently looking for a Group Health and Safety Officer to join our team.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Standards Manager the Group Health and Safety Officer will support the business to ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to and be responsible for identifying hazards at work and advising of risks involved. The Group H&S Officer will liaise with the SHE Department to ensure Edina is compliant with current health and safety legislation and regulations of the regions and ensure all incidents/accidents are thoroughly investigated and reported to the CEO and Group Standards Manager.

As Group Health and Safety Officer you will be responsible for carrying out risk assessments and ensure they are completed for all high-risk tasks, conduct SHE inductions for new employees and refresher training for existing staff. You will conduct and record in-house and on-site housekeeping inspections and audits and liaise with contractors working at Edina premises, review RAMS and conduct inductions where necessary. As Group Health and Safety Officer you will liaise with the SHEQ Department to introduce new health and safety policies when necessary and ongoing review of current policies and ensure that all portable equipment and workshop equipment complies with current regulations.

About You

To be considered for the Group Health and Safety Officer role, you’ll need:

- To have a HNC qualification or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
- To have a NEBOSH General certificate in H&S or equivalent/higher
- To have a minimum of 5 years' recent and relevant experience in a similar role
- To have a good understanding of health and safety law and legislation
- To have experience in formulating policies and risk assessments
- To have knowledge or experience of ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001
- To have a full, valid UK driving license


Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 5pm & Friday 8.30 am - 4.00 pm. You will be required to travel for this position throughout NI,ROI and possibly Great Britain.
