Sported is a leading charity supporting the UK's largest network of sport and physical activity groups and we exist to provide the skills, resources and funding needed for them to become sustainable and deliver services to the young people and communities they serve.

We’re now looking for a Head of Fundraising and Partnerships to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role

As our Head of Fundraising and Partnerships, you will lead on all aspects of our fundraising activity.

You will increase and diversify our revenue streams, developing a new fundraising strategy focused on growth and supporting us to meet organisational objectives.

Creating programme offers and products, you’ll ensure they resonate the needs of corporates and the Sported network, providing clarity, impact and scalability for funders.

You’ll also establish a pipeline of multi-year funders and seek new business opportunities, developing our existing partnerships and embedding a partnership framework.

Additionally, you will:

- Work with the Marketing and Communication Team to develop an engagement plan for corporates and the statutory sector
- Monitor progress
- Keep up to date with corporate and third sector trends

About You

To be considered as our Head of Fundraising and Partnerships, you will need:

- A proven track record of securing new business and expanding existing relationships
- Experience of taking corporate relationships from identification through to contract negotiation and renewal
- Knowledge and experience of working across all aspects of income generation (including statutory, trusts, foundations, corporates)
- Significant experience of creating pitches and presenting to corporate prospects
- Experience of creating income products and packages from the needs of our beneficiaries
- Strong communication and networking skills
- A good understanding of the role and importance that CSR/social value plays in the marketing strategy of major brands/corporations
- Excellent leadership skills
