The award-winning Oriel y Parc National Park Discovery Centre is one of our highest profile visitor facilities and is here to help visitors make the best of their stay in Pembrokeshire.

This exciting position focusses on offering a warm welcome to visitors and successfully raising a positive profile of Oriel y Parc through exceptional customer service standards. Our Visitor Services team advise and orientate visitors to promote Oriel y Parc’s facilities as well as those of the wider National Park.

We are looking for someone who has:
• Experience working in a retail or customer service role.
• An understanding of what makes a good day out.
• An ability to share the stories of our exhibitions, product knowledge, and inspire people to get involved with our events and work to enhance visitor enjoyment.
• Confidence with cash handling and record keeping.
• Good communication skills coupled with the ability to calmly help people during busy periods.
• An interest in and knowledge of the National Park, and a great understanding of the local area.

Please note that this role is 7.5 hours per month (Saturday) during the summer season, with no set hours of work during the winter season. The post holder will have the option to work additional hours during both seasons.

Salary and Benefits:
A salary of £12 per hour (to be reviewed under pay and grading review), minimum 25 days holiday rising to 30 days plus public holidays (pro rata), generous local government pension scheme.
