We now seek an M&E Project Director to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As our M&E Project Director, you will oversee construction projects and offer mechanical and electronic technical advice. You'll also allocate staff to new projects and monitor performance.

Monitoring M&E Managers’ and Assistant M&E Managers’ performance, you will lead the design coordination and information flow between the building services and building structure, and oversee final finishes on specific projects.

You will produce a detailed commissioning programme and manage the commissioning process, coordinating utility installations in alignment with other building-services-related statutory authorities. You'll take ownership of reviews and improve all MEP department documentation processes.

Working collaboratively across all departments, you will lead, develop and implement good communication skills across the whole project team, embracing our team ethos.

About You

To be considered as a M&E Project Director, you will need to demonstrate:

- Proven experience in a leadership role
- A clear understanding of pre-construction duties, including, tender period engagement, tender evaluations, technical questions
- Engagement in winning work strategies
- Ability to manage a team
- A track record of successfully dealing with utility suppliers
- Experience in completing projects of varying value, type and complexity
- Extensive MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) technical knowledge
- Extensive construction knowledge
- An understanding of programming principles
- A clear understanding of CDP requirements, processes and responsibilities
- Appropriate health and safety, CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications, or the willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Relevant professional qualification(s)
