About Us
We are the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, an organisation that protects, enhances and promotes the immense beauty, wildlife and character of the Yorkshire Dales. Set against expansive heather moorland tops, each valley has its own distinct charm, from crags and waterfalls to an underground labyrinth of caves.

As a full time (37 hours per week) temporary seasonal Access Rangers you will be based from our Grassington Office, near Skipton and you will need to be available for work from 15 July until 8 September 2024.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a National Park and work in one of the UK’s most striking and breath-taking locations.

The Role
You will focus on providing positive and friendly advice to member of the public on how to enjoy the National Park responsibly; ensuring all visitors have a fantastic experience. You will actively engage with visitors and local communities and help to de-escalate any visitor management issues. Your ‘office’ is out in the Park, providing face to face advice, customer service and engagement activities at some of our busiest areas like Grassington and Malham.

About You
You will have excellent communication and people skills, be enthusiastic about the outdoors, passionate about the countryside and available to work in the evenings and at weekends. You will need to have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle (with appropriate insurance) as you will be required to travel within the Park visiting sites in order to undertake this role.
